We're setting aside 10% of every purchase to grown the Homestead Legacy Fund, with the goal of raising $30,000.00 to help beginning homesteaders build the infrastructure they need to grow their direct-to-consumer businesses.
Why do we think this fund is important?
We know that one of the biggest obstacles to building a direct-to-consumer homestead is infrastructure - especially if you are starting with little or nothing. Whether it's equipment, processing space, refrigeration, fencing, livestock infrastructure, or other essential needs, getting established can be a tremendous financial hurdle.
In light of recent recalls, illnesses, and supply chain challenges, we believe direct-to-consumer sales from farmers and homesteaders can be part of the solution. They shorten the supply chain, strengthen local communities, and create access to food produced by people you can know and trust.
What happens when we reach our initial $30,000.00 goal?
We aren't stopping there! $20,000.00 will be allocated toward grants for qualifying applicants.
$5000.00 will be set aside to seed the next grant opportunity, allowing the fund to continue growing and helping more homesteaders in the future.
The remaining $5000.00 will be dedicated to administrative costs of operating the grant program.

We would like to build this opportunity where it has the funds to distribute grant funds on a monthly basis to four hard working homesteaders working state by state alphabetically.
